We are located only 2 1/2 to 3 hours from Dallas, Tulsa and Oklahoma City and 20 miles from the Texas line. 

Just Minutes from the beautiful Kiamichi River, Hugo Lake and Hugo Elephant Sanctuary, Broken Bow Lake/Houchatown, McGee Creek State Park, and Beavers Bend State Park. 

Some of these locations offer great activities such as horse back riding, canoe trips, rafting, and hunting trips.

In Antlers, there are several Antique and thrift stores on Main Street (Hwy3 & High Street), Dollar General, Family Dollar, Gardners Grocery on the West end of town and Pruitt’s Grocery on the East end. Restaurants/food places: Scared Grounds Coffee House (breakfast & lunch – GREAT!),  Subway, Sonic, High Street Pizza, MJay’s Diner, Rodeo BBQ, Spannman’s BBQ, Shell Station has a little café attached, and two really good Mexican restaurants – Marcos downtown & Don Pancho’s on Hwy 271S. There are two liquor stores, one on each end of town – Red Barn, West end and Nancy’s, East end.  The Choctaw Casino & Valero also sell beer & wine - both on the West end.

There are two bait shops in town – Conoco on the West end and K-Rays on the East end.

Endangered Ark Foundation    An Elephant Sanctuary                   A Must See!!

Endangered Ark Foundation is a private non-profit dedicated to ensuring the future of Asian elephants in North America, providing a retirement ranch for circus elephants, and educating the public about this endangered species.

We are hidden in southeast Oklahoma (Hugo) and are the second largest home to Asian elephants in America.


EAF IS NOT OPEN TO THE PUBLIC WITHOUT AN APPOINTMENT. YOU MUST HAVE A RESERVATION TO ENTER OUR FACILITY.   EAF tour guests are provided interactive educational demonstrations about what goes into caring for an elephant, as well as provided information on our endangered Asian elephant residents and their behaviors.

Deer Festival and Outdoor Show  - Free Admission

The Antlers Deer Festival and Outdoor Show was established October 2002. The event draws crowds in the thousands annually and is still growing. The “Deer Festival” is a family friendly festival that has something for everyone, whether you are an outdoorsman, craft/art enthusiast, chili cooking genius or just a child looking for some awesome fun!

K River Campground (https://kriver.com) (580-298-2442) offers canoe rentals and shuttles. 

There are no other known liveries or shuttle services operating on the Kiamichi River.

Girls Gone Wine is more than just a great tasting room with great wines

It is a fun boutique winery with a funky, sassy gift shop. Though there is no vineyard, all the wine is fermented and produced on site--their slogan is "Girls Gone Wine...not Girls Gone Farming!"

Wildlife Heritage Center Museum, Little Peoples Park and deer enclosures

The Wildlife Heritage Center Museum is a 3100 SF log cabin facility located between two existing Whitetail and Fallow deer exhibits in Antlers, OK. The facility is utilized as a regional tourism attraction while at the same time serving as a wildlife and nature resources conservation, public education learning center. Hours are Monday through Friday 9AM - 4PM. Saturday 10AM to 2PM (closed holidays). Admission is free!

The facility is located on the City of Antlers property adjacent to "Little Peoples Park" in Antlers, Oklahoma. Two 7000 SF deer exhibits enclosures were constructed in October 2002.
